[ARCHIVED] Delayed Openings Friday

The City of Richland will delay opening its offices and most facilities until 10 a.m. on Friday, March 18 so that employees may attend an annual appreciation breakfast.

Police, fire and emergency services personnel will respond to emergency calls received through 911. Richland’s landfill will open at its regular 8 a.m. time.

Opening will be delayed at Richland city hall, administrative annex, community center, library, development services center, fire and police offices, shops facilities, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

The breakfast will honor all employees for their work efforts during 2010 and give special recognition to 94 employees who reached anniversaries of five-year increments last year. Collectively, the 94 honorees have worked 1,255 years for the City of Richland and its citizens.

Honorees will include one Nancy Walker, who celebrated her 35th anniversary with the city last year, and six men who celebrated their 30th anniversary with the city last year: Dave Bryant, Gordon Downey, Alan Hilmes, George Kuklinski, Jeff Rolph and Richard Shively.

Eight employees reached 25-year anniversaries with the city last year: Jim Blain, Roy Carlson, James Hempstead, Jeanette Mercier, Pam Pelly, Dean Reents, Donna Stewart and Jim St. Martin.

Twenty-year honorees are: Harold Aardal, Michael Anderson, Scott Barham, Teresa Chambliss, Tom Damborg, Jerry Deines, Michael Emerick, Lori Ferris, Michael Harrison, Danielle Hoglen, Jeff Jennings, Earlene Mokler, Ryan Nielsen, Pat Ostler, Keith Ramsay, Steven Richardson and Jeffrey Taylor.

Employees with 15-year anniversaries last year are Bunnie Avery, Kevin Berger Olsson, Von Eggers, Valerie Eveland, Gail Everett, Erik Lundquist, Gilbert Morris, Corey Stratton, Trish Towne and Rick Tyrrell.

Ten-year celebrants are Lyle Ball, Philip Becker, Scott Benecke, Darcy Buckley, Brett Buckner, Michelle Burden, Barb Davis, Connie Farr, Tommy Garcia, Brad Hawk, Colleen Jackson, Trish Johnson, Jay Marlow, Dale Mulford, Jim Oliver, Rachell Parker, Phil Pinard, Jason Reathaford, Kelly Reed, Zane Sargent, Arika Schienbein, Joe Schiessl, Curtis Smith, John Stewart, Valerie Suarez, Bill Talmage, Erica Tungesvik and Kevin Willis.

Those completing five years of service in 2010 are Trisha Bareither, Kevin Barton, Jeff Bickford, Athena Clark, Wendy Corsi, Joseph DeRousie, Lance Ebberts, Dave Espinosa-Aguilar, Bonnie Gordon, Maria Herrera, Melody Kendall, Jim Leip, Kyle Myren and Sheldon Williamson.
