Utility Advisory Committee (UAC) Creation & Authority - Refer to Richland Municipal Code (RMC) - Title 2.10

The UAC serves as an advisory body to Council relative to policy and planning for the managing, financing, and operation of the utilities owned and operated by the City of Richland.

Upon authorization, the UAC conducts surveys, analyses, studies, and reports relating to City-owned utilities.  The Committee also advises Council on all matters relating to:

• Utility system expansion, extension, additions, and betterment.
• The incurring of indebtedness for or by City-owned utilities and the issuance of utility bonds.
• Rates and charges for utility services.
• Policies related to utilities not owned by the City.

The UAC holds regular meetings the second Tuesday of odd-numbered months at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber. The regular meetings are televised live on Richland’s Cable Channel 13.
