Richland Economic Development Chronology:  The City of Richland has a rich economic development history, beginning with its founding in 1943 as an important part of the Manhatten Project during WWII.  This chronology describes the beginnings and ever-quickening pace of economic development in Richland.

TRIDEC:
The Tri-City Industrial Development Council (TRIDEC) is a not-for-profit, community based organization, with over 360 members, serving the economic development needs of Benton and Franklin counties in Southeastern Washington. It is an Associate Development Organization of the Washington Department of Commerce, Trade and Economic Development and coordinates industrial recruiting activities for the Tri-Cities region.
