Energy Services Director: Ray Sieler
Background: Moved to the Tri-Cities in December of 1999 from Colorado. My wife Tina and I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest, specifically the Washington and Oregon coasts.
Employment History: Previously employed as Superintendent of Operations for the Department of Utilities for the City of Colorado Springs and Director of Utilities and City Manager for the City of Fort Morgan, Colorado. I have over thirty years of utility experience and public sector management experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology; Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.
Power and Resource Management Superintendent: Ken Mey
Background: Married with two grown daughters and one granddaughter. Enjoy hunting, wood and metal working. Employment History: Last twenty years in electric utility business, primarily involved in retail rate setting, regional issues, and financial management.
Education: M.B.A. and Bachelor (Economics, Phi Beta Kappa) - University of Washington; Graduate study in Resource Economics - Oregon State University; CPA (Oregon).
Chief Electrical Engineer: Kris Stauffer
Background: Moved to the Tri-Cities from Montana in 1989 and enjoys the great outdoors.
Employment History: 12 years experience as Electrical Distribution Engineer with the City of Richland; 8 years experience as Electrical Engineer with Fluor, ICF Kaiser and Westinghouse Hanford; several summer intern positions with Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power and Montana Power.
Education: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Washington State Univeristy; Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Montana State University; Registered Professional Engineer, Washington and Montana.
Power Analyst: Mike Murray
Background: Raised in Tri-Cities. Moved to Ephrata, Washington, in 1985. Relocated back to Tri-Cities 2003 when employed by the City of Richland. Enjoy spending time with family, traveling, camping and fishing.
Employment History: Worked for Grant County PUD from 1985 through February 2003, as Accountant, Auditor, Program Manager, Financial Analyst.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Eastern Washington University, 1976; MBA, Gonzaga University, 1982.
Electrical Systems Supervisor: Clint Whitney
Background: Located to the Tri-Cities in 1983 from St. Louis, MissouriEmployment History: Worked briefly for Bechtel at Energy Northwest #2 generating station followed by five years at Hanford Electrical Utilities and eight years at the City of Richland as an Electrical Distribution Engineer. This allowed me experience to work in my current position as the Electrical Systems Supervisor for the City of Richland.
Education: BS Electrical Engineering from Washington State University; Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington.
Power Operations Supervisor: Jim Leip
Background: Raised in upstate New York; USAF from 1977 to 1987; Lived in Burlington, Vermont from 1987 to 2002. Enjoy camping, fishing, hiking.
Employment History: Received my line work training in the Air Force and later went on to become an instructor in the Air Force line school. After the service I worked for Burlington Electric Department as a crew leader on then in Pennsylvania as a staking engineer.
Education: Associate Degree from Hudson Valley Community College Bachelors Degree in Management from University of Phoenix.
