New this year to the City of Richland
Richland introduced a pilot program for curbside recycling in four neighborhoods in May 2009. The city’s goal is to maximize the value and service we provide to our citizens. By diverting recyclables and yard waste from going to Richland’s landfill, we reduce costs associated with garbage disposal and we extend the life of the landfill. The pilot program continues through December 2009.

City Council will make a decision during December on expanding recycling communitywide.
