    Washington State classifies sex offenders into one of three categories.  If a person is required by law to register as a sex offender, they must notify the Sheriff's office of their current address. 

    Sex Offender Classifications

    Level 1
    Low risk to re-offend.  Level 1 offenders MAY NOT be the subject of public notification.

    Level 2
    Moderate risk to re-offend.  Level 2 offenders MAY OR MAY NOT be the subject of public notification.

    Level 3
    High risk to re-offend.  Level 3 offenders MAY BE the subject of public notification.
