Records function and hours

The Richland Police Department Records Section is responsible for maintaining police reports and entering information into the police department’s computer database.  The Records Section also maintains arrest warrants and certain orders, such as protection orders, issued by the courts. 

The records section has one civilian records supervisor and six civilian records employees.  These are the employees who answer the phone and assist customers who come into the police department lobby, in addition to their other duties.


Requesting Police Reports

Requests for police reports are processed by the records section.  Reports can be requested by phone, in person or by completing the online request form.  For more information call (509) 942-7340.


Fingerprinting

The records section also offers fingerprinting for Richland residents on Thursdays from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.  The fee for fingerprinting is $12.90 for the first card and $6.45 for each additional card.


Concealed Pistol Licenses

The records division is responsible for accepting and processing concealed pistol licenses.  Applications are accepted on Mondays and Wednesday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. We are unable to accept or process applications on Tuesday.

The non-refundable fee for an original license is $52.50.  The non-refundable fee for a renewal license is $32.00.  If the license has expired, there is an additional $10 fee.  For more information call (509) 942-7340.
