Batteries, Household Type: Used C, D, AA, AAA can be solidified (dried) in unwanted latex paint or placed in the trash at this time. Batteries are a non-regulated waste and although discouraged, is legal to place in the trash. Due to a fire at the Benton County Moderate Risk Waste Facility and loss of funding, we are no longer able to process and safely dispose of household batteries.
