Department of Corrections

The Richland Police Department established a partnership in 2002 with the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) to better monitor criminals who are under active DOC supervision and living in Richland.

Partnership Objectives
•Ensure good communication between police officers and community corrections officers (CCOs)
•Help CCOs arrest offenders who have violated conditions of their release
•Monitor clients under active DOC supervision who live in Richland
•Respond quickly to CCOs if an offender is contacted by a police officer
•Team up to conduct random house checks on offenders
