City of Richland leaders launched an environmental education program in 1996 to protect our local environment, conserve energy, water and solid waste resources and to better control future costs of utilities.

The program includes award winning community outreach programs for classrooms, civic organizations and businesses, an informative website, blog, community activities and partnerships with local businesses and the media.
