About the Program

The Green Recognition Program is an opportunity for Richland businesses, schools, organizations,
 groups and individuals to showcase their environmental efforts. The city widely recognizes
 honorees  and encourages community sharing of knowledge and lessons learned.

2014 Green Living Award Winners 
Timbers Apartments is Richland's 2014 Green Business of the Year. The Green Program of the Year award went to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for its Sustainable Campus program, and Richland’s Excellence in Environment Stewardship was awarded to Friends of Badger Mountain. A special award for Outstanding Environmental Commitment was presented to Jim Langdon, Badger Mountain Trailmaster. Others honored included Buckwheat Bottoms Cloth Diapers, Go Green Tri-Cities, Paragon Corporate Housing and Superior Wash, mobile truck and car wash service.
