The City of Richland proposes to construct a four-lane bridge over the Yakima River.  The project will improve connectivity for bikes, pedestrians and vehicular traffic between the central core of Richland and southern areas of Richland.  The City Council has designated the Duportail Bridge project as the highest priority transportation project.  It is supported by the Washington State Department of Transportation and by the Washington State Good Roads Transportation Association.
