Fall Cleanup Curbside Service Begins Monday in Richland

Horn Rapids Landfill to Close on Sundays

Post Date:10/26/2017 10:12 AM

Richland Solid Waste staff would like to remind residents that the annual curbside service for excess bagged leaves, garbage and bundled branches begins Monday, October 30, and will run through the end of December.

Please completely fill your garbage and greens waste cans with the appropriate materials and place the extra bagged waste and bundled branches at least three feet from the cans.

Curbside Service will occur the same day as your regularly scheduled garbage day, except for holidays and during extremely hazardous winter road conditions. Notice of winter delays or cancelations will be posted on the city’s Solid Waste webpage, as well as on Twitter and Facebook.

Green yard waste containers will continue to be emptied every other week through the winter months, except when the temperature falls below freezing, which makes the debris difficult to remove. Collection delays will also be posted on the website and social media feeds.

The Horn Rapids Landfill will begin its winter schedule, November 1 through February 28. Hours will remain the same, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the exception of the facility being closed on Sundays and on all recognized City holidays.
