What is Ask Richland Business?

Being an entrepreneur comes with enough headache. The City of Richland wants you and your business idea to thrive without the added hassle of figuring out where to start, what resources are available, or identifying the necessary tools for success!

The Business and Economic Development Office initiated Ask Richland Business to serve people with creative ideas and entrepreneurial minds. Each month, we will host mobile, open office hours at a different location within the City of Richland. Anyone in need of business support can receive first-come/first-serve assistance. While this list isn't exhaustive, here are the types of assistance you can expect to receive:

  • Contact information and resources for business counseling
  • Loan, financing, grant, and gap-funding resources
  • Brief presentations on City funded grants and their application process
  • Information on navigating licenses and regulations
  • Information on how to access resources from City Planning, Building, and Energy Services
  • Information and resources for available buildings, property, and future developments

When and where?

Ask Richland Business is regularly held the first Wednesday of each month, with some variation for the observance of holidays and other events. Check back here before the first of each month to confirm the location.
