The City of Richland will delay opening offices and facilities until 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, for an annual all-employee meeting. Richland City Hall, Administrative Annex, Development Services Building, Richland Community Center, Fire and Police Offices, Human Resources, Shops Facilities, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Horn Rapids Landfill are all affected. The Richland Public Library will open at its regularly scheduled time of 9:30 a.m.

Police, fire and emergency services personnel will continue to respond to emergency calls.

Within the City's Business and Economic Development Office, it is the responsibility of the Economic Development Manager to carry out economic growth opporunities throughout the community. In carrying out that responsibility the manager is involved in commercial real estate development, manufacuting/industrial site promotion and coordination, and the attraction and development of retail/commercial businesses. This responsibility also ensures collaboration between City departments and outside partners in the continued development of support infrastructure, and connectivity of our community to national telecommunications infrastructure.
