Kurk Watts, on September 27, filed an application for preliminary plat approval to subdivide an approximately 2.8 acre site into 10 single family residential lots (Preliminary Plat of Canyon Creek West). The proposed plat is located east of Leslie Road and west of the Amon Basin, approximately ¼ mile south of Columbia Park Trail. Copies of the application materials are posted here.
The City of Richland has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS). An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency, including geotechnical and critical areas reports. This information is available to the public on request. This MDNS is issued under WAC 197-11-350; the lead agency will not act on this proposal until January 5, 2018. The Richland Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to consider this application for a preliminary plat on Thursday, January 25, 2018. The hearing will take place in the Richland City Council Chambers, 505 Swift Boulevard, Richland, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
