2020-2024 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI)
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is a flexible program that provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs. Beginning in 1974, the CDBG program is one of the longest continuously run programs at HUD.
The City of Richland anticipates receiving $300,000 in 2019 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) of which $204,800 will be available to fund community projects. The application packet can be found here, and below in the Related Information section.
The program funds various nonprofit agencies and other city department projects that benefit low and moderate income persons in our community.
Grantees are selected through an annual competitive process each fall. Public hearings and meetings are held in conjunction with the proposal application process.
