An Electrical Commercial Plan Review list of required items must be submitted for the Utility's Engineering staff to determine the necessary electrical fees and utility design.
The distribution planner will confirm availability of the voltage as well as single-phase or three-phase service at your project's location.
Electric Utility Inspection Requirements
Conduits & Substructures:
All conduits and substructures installed in or below the ground for electric utility use must be inspected by the City prior to backfilling. Failure to obtain an inspection will require the installer to expose any or all of the buried facilities for an inspection. Please schedule an inspection at least 48 hours in advance by calling an Energy Services Dispatcher at (509) 942-7421.
Electrical Service Equipment & Service Laterals:
To speak with the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) regarding inspection of electrical service equipment and service laterals owned by the customer, call L&I inspectors at (509) 735-0138. To schedule an electrical inspection, call the L&I request line at (509) 735-0148.
