Richland City Hall is closed to the public until further notice. Residents can place utility payments in the drop box located on the southwest side of the building. Payments and requests for service can also be made on-line, by emailing or by calling (509) 942-1104.

Building department and planning applications, including plan submittals, will be accepted electronically. Contact 509-942-7794 or for more information. 

Construction Traffic Delays

For July 4 - 10, 2020 

Duportail Bridge, beginning Monday, July 6, Duportail Street access at the intersection of SR 240 will be closed for construction of the final phase of the project. As the contractor begins work on improvements between Riverstone Drive and SR 240 and between SR 240 and Cottonwood Drive. Detours will be in place for both sides. SR 240 through travel will not be affected at this time. Please plan on increased travel time for those commuting to and from the affected neighborhoods. The Parkway & Lee Boulevard, between Jadwin Avenue and George Washington Way, will be closed to traffic from 6:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. each Friday through October, for the Farmer’s Market. Businesses in the Parkway will remain open. 

Leslie Road south of Gage Boulevard, a contractor will begin construction on new ADA ramps at various intersections.  Minor traffic control will be required including lane shifts into the center turn lane. 

Columbia Park Trail, near Windmill Road, will be closed periodically this week.  The closed section will be just east of the Valley View Road intersection.  A detour will be in place at Queensgate and Leslie Road.  Local traffic will be able to access their homes along Columbia Park Trail. 

Lorayne J neighborhood area, contractor will begin prep work for the upcoming water system replacement project in the area. Initial work to include pot-holing existing utilities and valve installation with various traffic restrictions in place as needed. 

Symons Street, Thursday, July 9th, from 10 AM to 2 PM Symons will be closed from McPherson to Thayer. Detours will be in place and residents will be notified of electrical work in the area.
