For the week of May 20, 2018
Queensgate Drive – between Keene Road and the on/off ramps of I-182; Construction on the Queensgate Drive Improvements Project is underway. Construction Activity will be taking place Monday Evening, May 14 through Saturday Morning, May 19 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This night work will have no impact to traffic.
On Friday, May 18 at 8 p.m. through Monday, May 21 at 5 a.m. the eastbound on ramp from Queensgate to I-182 will be closed. A detour will be in place on Columbia Park Trail to SR-240 interchange. Signs and message boards will be in place directing traffic onto the detour. During this weekend closure traffic will be flagged though the intersection of Queensgate and I-182 ramp terminals as crews remove the signal system and install a paved detour around the intersection. Delays are anticipated.
After the weekend closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from May 21 through July 30. Note: For the duration of the project, northbound traffic on Queensgate will be directed to the I-182 eastbound onramp. Traffic heading north towards Duportail Street or westbound on to I-182 will be detoured to the Keene Road & Duportail Street intersection.
Duportail Bridge Phase 1 – Duportail Street, between Queensgate Drive and City View Drive, and between SR 240 and Tanglewood Drive, the contractor is preparing for bridge construction. Roads are closed to through traffic. Residents affected by construction may experience minor delays.
Central Richland – A contractor will begin pavement marking removal (striping and crosswalks) at various locations in preparation for crack sealing. Street Maintenance Crews will then be crack sealing those streets in preparation for pavement surface treatments.
South Central Richland – A contractor will begin construction / reconstruction of ADA ramps at various intersections in preparation for future pavement preservation projects. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
