IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The City of Richland will delay opening offices and facilities until 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, for an annual all-employee meeting. Richland City Hall, Administrative Annex, Development Services Building, Richland Community Center, Fire and Police Offices, Human Resources, Shops Facilities, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Horn Rapids Landfill are all affected. The Richland Public Library will open at its regularly scheduled time of 9:30 a.m.

Police, fire and emergency services personnel will continue to respond to emergency calls.

Activities

The Arts Commission supports City Council in encouraging and supporting art within Richland to improve the quality of life, strengthen economic development and revitalize the community. It is an advisory body to City Council and staff to provide expertise on visual, performing and literary arts to enrich the cultural life of the community.

Special Programs

2016 Richland Arts Commission Partnership Program Application

The City of Richland will designate up to $4,000 total for 2016 to provide matching fund grants to encourage and support art in Richland. This designation is a one-year pilot to evaluate the benefit of an Art Partnership Program.

Applications are due December 1, 2016

 

2015 Art Recognition Award for Contributions in Support of the Arts

The Richland Arts Commission is accepting nominations for two annual awards to recognize local contributions made in support of the arts. This award is intended to distinguish two recipients for their outstanding contribution and support of the arts in Richland, Washington. The awards will be presented to one individual and to one organization (for profit or not-for-profit) annually. The award is made for the year prior.

Nominations are due by October 14, 2016
